Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Hoang Long was born in 1976 in Hanoi.
He is married with four children.

- July 2005: PhD Degree in Economics of Public Administrations and Public Enterprises - Rome University 2 "Tor Vergata" (Rome, Italy).
